Business Transfers

A fixed price approvable in advance, a driver inside arrivals and twenty minutes that become working time — plus when the train beats all of it.

Business travel through Zurich has one requirement the leisure market does not: the journey has to be predictable. A meeting does not move because the traffic did, and an evening flight home does not wait.

This page sets out what a corporate transfer at ZRH actually gives you, what it costs, and — because this guide says so on every page — when the train is the better answer.

What a business transfer removes

01 · The unknown

Price fixed before you fly

Calculated from road distance, not a meter. Approvable in advance, and identical whether the traffic cooperates or not.

02 · The queue

Driver inside arrivals

Name board in the hall, not a kerbside meeting point. You clear customs and the car is found.

03 · The delay

Flight tracked

Give the flight number and the pickup moves with the aircraft. No waiting charge for an airline’s delay.

04 · The dead time

Twenty minutes that work

Wi-Fi and chargers in the vehicle. The drive into Zurich becomes usable rather than lost.

Bern 125 CHF 540 CHF 728 CHF 603

Per vehicle, not per head — which is the point for a team of three or four. Card payment adds 3.5 %; a same-day return booked together takes 10 % off the total.

Choosing the vehicle

E-Class — the default for one to three people with normal luggage. Nothing about it apologises.

S-Class — when the car is part of the impression: collecting a client, a board arrival, a first meeting. Note the boot takes two pieces against three, so it is a poor choice if the trip is heavy.

V-Class — a team of four to seven, or three people who want to work facing each other. It costs slightly more than the E-Class and carries eight pieces of luggage.

Sprinter — a delegation of up to fourteen. One vehicle at CHF 230 base is materially cheaper than three cars, and the group arrives together rather than in three instalments.

When to take the train instead

Zurich’s railway station is directly beneath the terminal, and for a single traveller with a cabin bag going to central Zurich it is nine to thirteen minutes — faster than any car, and unaffected by traffic.

The same is true of Basel and Bern, both around an hour by rail from the airport platform without going into the city first. If your meeting is beside a main station and you are travelling alone, the train wins and we would rather say so.

The car earns its price when the destination is not beside a station, when there are three or more of you, when the schedule is tight enough that a missed connection matters, or when the twenty minutes need to be working time.

Recurring travel

For a company sending people through ZRH regularly, three things are worth setting up once:

A single point of contact so bookings do not restart from zero each time. Consistent invoicing — Swiss VAT invoices in the company’s name, which the booking flow produces. And a standing vehicle preference, so an S-Class arrival for a client and an E-Class for internal travel do not need explaining every time.

Write to [email protected] to arrange it rather than booking each journey cold.

Business events at ZRH

The Circle, the district connected to the terminal by a covered walkway, has a convention centre and two hotels. A meeting held there requires no journey into the city at all — fly in, meet, fly out, and the transfer is a six-kilometre flat-rate hop or a short walk.

For January in Graubünden, see WEF Davos 2027: different rules, and a booking window measured in months.

Business transfers at Zurich Airport — FAQ

How much is a business transfer from Zurich Airport to the city?

CHF 120 in an E-Class or CHF 150 in an S-Class, fixed, to any address in central Zurich. The whole city is inside the 20 km flat zone, so the address does not change the price.

Can I get an invoice in the company’s name?

Yes. Swiss VAT invoices are issued in the company name through the booking flow, and for recurring travel that can be set up once rather than each journey.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing, provided the flight number was given at booking. The inbound aircraft is tracked, the pickup moves with it, and there is no waiting charge for an airline delay.

Which vehicle should I book for a client collection?

The S-Class, if luggage is light — it takes two pieces against three in the E-Class. For a team of four or more, the V-Class carries seven people and eight bags at a lower price than the S-Class.

Is a transfer better than the train for business travel?

Not always. For a single traveller going to central Zurich, Basel or Bern, the train from the platform beneath the terminal is faster and cheaper. The car wins for groups, for destinations away from a station, for tight schedules, and when the journey needs to be working time.

Can you handle a delegation arriving together?

Yes. A 14-seat Sprinter from CHF 230 base keeps a group in one vehicle, which is both cheaper than three cars and simpler than coordinating three arrivals.
