A private transfer solves one problem: the uncertainty between landing and arriving. The price is agreed before you fly, the driver is in the hall when you walk out, and a delayed flight changes nothing.

How the price is built
There is no meter and no negotiation. The fare is calculated from the real road distance between your two addresses:

That is the whole formula. Zurich city centre is 14 km, so it falls inside the flat zone: CHF 120 in an E-Class whether you go to the main station, the old town or a hotel in Oerlikon. Davos is 174 km, so it is CHF 120 + 154 × 4.00 = CHF 736.
What is included: the vehicle and driver, flight tracking, waiting time caused by a delayed flight, ski and board carriage, child seats on request, bottled water and Wi-Fi. No night surcharge. No luggage supplement.
What is added: card payment fees of 3.5 %, shown before you confirm. A return journey booked at the same time takes 10 % off the total.

What happens on the day
Flight tracked
From the flight number you give at booking. If the aircraft is two hours late, the pickup is two hours later — nothing to notify, nothing to pay.
Driver in the hall
Inside arrivals with a name board, not at a kerbside meeting point. You walk out of customs and the car is found, not searched for.
Loaded for you
Including skis, boards and pushchairs. This is the part people underestimate at 06:00 with a family.
Fixed, whatever happens
Traffic, snow, a closed pass with a detour: the price agreed is the price paid.
When to book it — and when not to
Book it for: a mountain destination, a group above three, checked luggage or equipment, an arrival after midnight, a business trip where the car matters, or any journey where you need to know the cost in advance.
Do not book it for a solo trip into central Zurich with a cabin bag. The train leaves from beneath the terminal, takes nine minutes and costs a fraction of CHF 120. We would rather tell you that than sell you a car you did not need.
The vehicles
E-Class — the default. Three passengers, three cases. Right for a couple or a lone traveller with normal luggage.
V-Class — the most useful vehicle in the fleet, and the one to choose in winter. Seven seats and eight pieces of luggage, with a boot that swallows skis without a fight. It costs slightly more than the E-Class in this pricing model, because it is a larger vehicle.
S-Class — for business travel where the car is part of the impression. Note the smaller boot: two cases, not three. If luggage is the constraint, the V-Class is the better vehicle even though the S-Class costs more.
Sprinter — up to fourteen passengers and fourteen bags. For a group of ten, one Sprinter to Davos at CHF 1308 is materially cheaper than two V-Classes, and keeps everyone together.
Car-free resorts
Zermatt and Wengen prohibit combustion vehicles. No transfer of any kind reaches them by road — ours stops at Täsch for Zermatt, where a shuttle train covers the final stretch in about twelve minutes. The price quoted is to Täsch, and it is stated as such rather than discovered on arrival. See Zermatt for the detail.

How much is a transfer from Zurich Airport to Davos?
CHF 736 in an E-Class for the 174 km, CHF 823 in a V-Class, CHF 997 in an S-Class and CHF 1308 in a 14-seat Sprinter. The price is per vehicle and fixed before you travel.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. Six people travelling to Lucerne in a V-Class pay CHF 337 in total, not six times that — which is what makes a transfer competitive against individual train tickets once the group grows.
What happens if my flight is late?
Nothing, provided you gave the flight number when booking. The driver tracks the inbound aircraft and the pickup moves with it. There is no waiting charge for a delay caused by the airline.
Where does the driver meet me?
Inside the arrivals hall with a name board, not at a kerbside pickup point. You come through customs and the car is already found.
Are skis and snowboards included?
Yes, carriage of ski and board equipment is included rather than charged as an extra. For a group with equipment, choose the V-Class: eight pieces of luggage against three in the E-Class.
Is there a surcharge for a night pickup?
No. The same fixed price applies at 03:00 as at 15:00, which is one of the clearer differences from a metered taxi.
Can I book a return journey?
Yes, and booking both legs at the same time takes 10 % off the total rather than pricing them separately.
