Zurich handles business and private aviation through facilities separate from the passenger terminals. If you are arriving by private jet, none of the sequence described elsewhere on this site applies to you: no baggage hall, no arrival hall, no taxi rank.
This page covers what is structurally true about private aviation at ZRH and what you should verify with your operator — because in this segment, an approximation is worse than a gap.

The customs obligation does not change. Switzerland is in the Schengen area but outside the EU customs union, so the allowances and declarations described on our customs page apply exactly as they do to a scheduled arrival. The procedure is handled at the facility rather than in a channel; the rules are the same.

The transfer works the same way and at the same prices as from the passenger terminals — the fare is calculated from road distance, not from which building you walked out of.

Per vehicle. The S-Class is the usual choice on this route — but check the luggage: it carries two pieces against eight in the V-Class. A party of four with a week’s baggage belongs in a V-Class regardless of the badge on the boot.

Private movements are tracked by registration. Provide it with the estimated arrival so the pickup follows the aircraft.
Not “Zurich Airport”
General aviation is a different address from the passenger terminals. Your handler will tell you which one.
Arranged by the handler
Whether a vehicle can meet the aircraft or waits at the facility is the handler’s decision, not ours.

A slot can change late. Give a number the driver can reach on the day.
Onward to the mountains
Most private arrivals at Zurich in winter are not going to Zurich. The eastern Alps — Davos, Klosters, St. Moritz — are closer to ZRH than to any other international airport, which is precisely why the traffic comes here.
Two things matter for those onward journeys. Winter road times are longer than the table, sometimes substantially. And during World Economic Forum week, road access to Davos is controlled and every vehicle in the region is committed months ahead — a private arrival does not change that.

The same as from the passenger terminals: CHF 1289 in an S-Class, CHF 1062 in a V-Class for up to seven. The fare comes from road distance, not from which building you left.
